BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAM - 6 WEEKS

$6,650 PER DOG

[The board and train program is for dogs older than 6 months.]

Our 6-week board and train is Colorado’s premier off-leash program. Our clients call this the “dream dog” program. At the end of your dog’s stay with us, it will be proficient in all basic obedience (sit, down, stay, recall, place). In addition to basic obedience, your dog will receive “Public Access Training” to prepare them for urban adventures. However, this is not just for city dwellers looking to take their dog to the coffee shop or brewery but for anyone looking to provide their dog with the ultimate off-leash freedom wherever they go. We implement a variety of training methods, including NePoPo® from a Gold Certified Trainer and the use of an E-Collar.

The 6-week program includes:

  • 5 Pillars of obedience (on & off leash in any environment)

  • “Public Access Training”

  • All necessary training tools. Including E-Collar Technologies’ “Mini Educator” collar. ($199 value)

  • Our six-week program is designed to give you the dog you have always wanted. We do all the hard work by teaching your dog what to do and how to do it in a variety of settings. Once the information has been “installed,” we then turn our attention to you. Training the owner is equally as important as the work we do with the dog. Owner training and education begins at our consultation and continues through to board & train in-home follow-up sessions.

BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAM - 4 WEEKS

$4,925 PER DOG

[The board and train program is for dogs older than 6 months.]

Are you concerned you don’t have the time to build a strong foundation of good behavior — or maybe your dog needs a fresh start in a new environment to unlearn bad habits and a jumpstart towards becoming their best self?

Our 4-week board and train is an immersive program that includes:

  • Scheduled daily sessions are designed to build confidence, create strong routines, and build your dog’s confidence.

  • Training to help reinforce good behaviors under stress, high levels of excitement, and distraction in new environments. We go on adventures to parks, shops, and other public places where we can “proof” our work.

What to expect:

  • Intake: One 30-minute introduction training session at drop-off

  • Phase I: Your dog will stay with me at my home for four weeks

  • Phase 2: A one-hour training session at pick up on the last day of the board and train.

  • Phase 3: Two one-hour follow-up sessions to be scheduled within three weeks of the last day of board and train.

Please Note: A board and train program can work wonders — essentially providing a “reset” and a strong foundation for your dog. It is not, however, a replacement for everyday, at-home training. To ensure that the training will be successful long term, your commitment to ongoing training and reinforcement of the new routines is essential.

BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAM - 2 WEEKS

$2,495 PER DOG

Do you need help with one or two basic behaviors but just don’t have the time to get started on the right foot? Have we trained together in the past, and you are looking to expedite the training of new obedience or eliminate new unwanted behavior? Want to get a jump start on E-collar Training?

New or existing clients require a consultation to determine if this is the best option for you

What is included:

  • two weeks of training

  • a custom training plan based on your goals

  • one 1-hour go home session

  • two in-home follow-up sessions

What our clients say

LOLA: BOARD & TRAIN GRADUATE

“I had tried a few trainers prior to meeting Lawren. He was the one who finally understood what I needed with my 5 month old boxer Lola - I didn’t need her to sit, stay or roll over - I needed her to feel comfortable and confident in her new life with me. Lola struggled every day with new sights and sounds, so nervous and scared. Lawren gave her the specific training she needed, not generalized training for all dogs.

He gives his time, his knowledge and his compassion without fail. I have found my dog training angel in Lawren. We will be bonded with Lawren from here on out. I cannot put into words how Walking With Walter changed my relationship with Lola and improved our lives together! 🐾♥️ 100% recommended.”

-Jennifer M

VANCE: FIVE WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM GRADUATE

“I'm so happy with our work together. Vance is so much more relaxed and I am so much more confident. We trust each other so much more. It's fantastic.”

-Dani P

Mulligan: BOARD & TRAIN GRADUATE

We have had an amazing experience with Walking with Walter. Throughout the board and train, we received Instagram postings and text messages regarding her progress. The naughty list was shortened and the nice list was lengthened! We were provided at-home strategies to implement.

Mulligan seems to be more settled and much happier. She leaves our grandchildren alone when they come to the door, and gently greets our guests with a wagging tail (not nipping like she used to). Walking her is a simple, no-pulling, task. My elbow and shoulder really appreciate her calm demeanor on a leash.

-Cari R

Bro’d: A Graduate of our Board and Train E-Collar program

“I can’t say enough...I am so happy with the training we received from Walking with Walter. Our German Shepard Bro’D was the boss in the house and refused to do a lot. Recall being the worst of his blown-off commands.

I knew he had the potential to be an awesome dog but we both needed training. Walking with Walter went above and beyond with training and follow-up. In turn, Bro’D has become better than I could have ever expected before his training. We have now been able to take Bro’D places I never would have considered before his training with Lawren. Thank You Walking with Walter!

- Denise R

ABby: A Graduate of our Board and Train E-Collar program

Lawren brought my dog by for a visit after having her for a day, and wow! I saw a big difference! She was already MUCH calmer and already focused on him and following directions. It was amazing to see the difference in such a short time!

Lawren continued to work with her on basic commands, and also brought her by on a few occasions, to show me her newly learned skills, and to help teach ME how to work with her. After the training, she returned home, and family and friends have all noticed a big difference in her behavior. Lawren taught her how to relax herself, which is a skill I was totally unaware that could be taught, and now, she is a much more “mellow” dog than ever before.

Is your dog “not listening” to you? Chances are you are saying too much. It’s important to help your dog understand what you are asking, but don’t overdo it. Teach your dog to make YOU active in response to their behavior. Reward the good stuff and extinguish the bad.

Leash pressure is a foundational piece to teaching your dog how to walk nicely next to you.

Markers are one the most important components in dog training. You must understand how & when to use them.
